=darkerblack and I are doing a little trade. She whips up some art for me, I provide her with a few CSS templates for her journal. This is one of them, and it was really fun to make. Works great in Firefox. Haven't done the IE test yet, but I expect it'll fail ;P

Hope you like it Jezza! More on the way!

(btw if you want to make any suggestions, feel free to. This is a work-in progress :D)

Interesting to see that you can move the mood box wherever you want. Nice style!

Thankyou very much! You can do almost anything with the mood box. I'm trying to get mood box hovering to work, so when you hover over stuff, it displays extended info (such as cover-art for movies and stuff). The possibilities with CSS are endless, and when you come to the end, there's PHP and GD (See my latest journal for an idea of what GD can do ;D)

Yes, you are right. There is a lot we can make with CSS. The problem is not everything is allowed on DA. I tried to make textboxes (as it can be seen in my journal) but with transparent colours (variable opacity) so that you can see also the background image a bit. I found those half transparent colours in ^depthskins' journal but he is Gallery Director and can import any CSS styles he want. -->[link]

Seems that the opacity works alright. I haven't tried it myself (Never even occurred to me actually), but I hope it all works alright. IE has transparency issues, but Mozilla (one of the few browsers that actually know what standards are, and adhere to them strictly), shows it all perfectly. Long live Firefox ;D

That is very slick. I like the placement of the mood and details on the side there. :)

The others were good too of course, but I liked this one the best. :)

I'm hoping to have some time this week to work on customizing mine a bit more.

That'd be awesome! I'd love to see what you can come up with! And if you ever need advice on CSS, or some 'gadgets' for your journal, I wrote a News article on CSS tips..
