They've been done for a while, but TAA-DAA! The official, super cool invitations to the wedding of Mr. David Gray and Ms. Holly Coe!
Modelled after a genuine, 1800's mental asylum admission form and sporting fake splattered blood, these invitations were sent to about 60 guests in bloody envelopes all across Australia and the USA. The majority of the invitations were made in Microsoft Word (and I mail merged the names in. How lazy!). The two stamps were made in The GIMP (and people can't tell they're fake ) and the blood splatters were done by hand using a paintbrush and a bottle of red food dye.
Our wedding, on October 31st (Halloween folks!) has a mental asylum-themed reception. All our friends and family are coming dressed up, and it's going to be a blast! We're converting the town hall in to a gruesome asylum with tortured screams and skeletons hanging from the roof. I can't wait!
The background image is from [link] and is called "Blood and numbers?"
Let me know what you think!
